Universal Destinations & Experiences is preparing to take guests on a cosmic journey this spring. In celebration of Nintendo and Illumination’s upcoming film, "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie", both Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort will offer a series of limited-time experiences beginning March 10, 2026.
The celebration, which runs through April 13, 2026, focuses on the highly anticipated film hitting theaters on April 1.
Meet Yoshi and Discover Galactic Treats
For the first time at SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, fans will have the opportunity to meet Yoshi in a special limited-time meet and greet. This experience will be available at both Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Epic Universe in Orlando.
In addition to character encounters, the parks are rolling out celestial-themed culinary treats, including:
- The Rosalina Cupcake: A blue velvet cupcake filled with blueberry cheesecake and topped with lemon buttercream and a chocolate crown.
- Galaxy Popcorn: A multicolored berry-flavored popcorn finished with edible glitter.
Exclusive 'Luma' Merchandise
Merchandise collectors can look forward to first-of-their-kind interactive Luma shoulder pals. Available in blue and yellow, these 'Galaxy' companions feature integrated light and sound effects and are designed to communicate with one another when positioned near other Lumas.
Fun Beyond the Gates
The celebration extends to Universal CityWalk in both locations, featuring a vibrant 'galactic tunnel' photo opportunity inspired by the film's visuals. For those wanting to see the movie on the big screen, the Universal Cinema at CityWalk Hollywood and Universal Cinemark in Orlando will begin screenings on April 1.
